Laurie is an attorney in our Trade Mark group.
Laurie is an experienced trade mark attorney and has worked with clients ranging from start-ups and SMEs through to multinationals, across diverse commercial sectors including financial services, charitable services, retail and food and drink.
As well as dealing with all aspects of trade mark clearance, protection and prosecution, Laurie has experience in litigation, having handled cases in the IPEC, High Court and CJEU, and holds the Higher Courts Certificate in IP Litigation. She has also achieved notable results in helping clients to tackle trade mark infringement issues through working with customs bodies, Trading Standards and ISPs.
Laurie is also proficient in French.
Laurie graduated with a joint honours degree in Law and French from the University of Strathclyde in 2009, before going on to obtain a postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice in 2010.
Laurie entered the IP profession in 2010 and qualified as a trade mark attorney in 2013. She joined Withers & Rogers in 2020 after working with other leading UK IP firms.
Laurie is an avid fan of musicals and a keen puzzler. On a more active note, she enjoys walking, skiing and sailing.
