Withers & Rogers Opens New Office in Munich

We are pleased to announce that as of 18 August 2014, we will have an office in Munich with a senior Partner working there permanently. This move will allow us to further improve our services for UK and international clients seeking patent protection in Germany and across Europe.
The move has been made possible by a collaborative agreement with Munich-based intellectual property firm, Fleuchaus & Gallo.
We believe that this collaboration will be beneficial to both parties concerned but more importantly, it will also prove helpful to our clients in that:-
- We will have greater control, in spite of existing high levels of quality, over our clients’ work in Germany which is helpful given the anticipated increase in filing activity as the perceived trend towards more direct national patent applications in Europe is expected to continue
- We will have a more effective ear to the ground for our clients. There will be an opportunity to become more involved in driving and shaping the direction of the European patent profession through regular interaction with the European Patent Office (EPO) and European Patent Institute (EPI)
- We will be strategically situated in Europe when the Unified Patent Court is up and running.
